The MEGADYNE Mega Power Electrosurgical Generator is a high-frequency electrosurgical system designed to provide monopolar cutting, monopolar coagulation, and bipolar coagulation for a wide range of compatible surgical procedures.
This refurbished and recertified generator is supplied with a footswitch for convenient energy activation during procedures.
The Mega Power generator features an intuitive front-panel design with large digital displays that allow power settings to be viewed clearly from a distance. Clearly identified controls support fast selection and adjustment of the available cutting, coagulation, and bipolar modes.
MEGADYNE Constant Control Technology is designed to monitor tissue impedance and adjust the generator’s power output accordingly. This supports consistent energy delivery as tissue conditions change during electrosurgical cutting and coagulation.
The generator provides eight selectable operating modes. Advanced Cutting Effect, also known as ACE Mode, automatically controls generator output to provide a consistent cutting effect. Pure Cut provides a conventional cutting effect with limited hemostasis, while Blend combines cutting and coagulation.
Coag 1 provides tissue desiccation and hemostasis with an effect designed to support coagulation with dissection. Coag 2 provides a more gradual onset of coagulation energy. Spray Mode delivers fulguration-style coagulation over a broader area.
Micro Bipolar Mode provides controlled energy delivery for standard and precise bipolar applications. Macro Bipolar Mode provides a faster onset and higher-voltage bipolar output for applications requiring a broader coagulation effect.
Additional features include a recall function for retrieving previous modes and power settings, a quick-scroll function for adjusting power, a highly visible return-electrode alarm, and a built-in bipolar current meter that visually indicates current flow.
